I am registered with the information commissioners office (ICO). This means that I follow the rules set out in the data protection principles. I will make sure that the information I keep is kept secure, accurate and up to date. No unauthorised persons will have access to your data. When I collect a clients personal data I will tell them how I will use their information. No information will be shared with other organisations unless the client requests this or gives consent. An example might be if I think it would be beneficial to provide a letter for your GP.
Please note in light of covid 19, I may need to share your details with the track and test system.
I will also tell clients that they have the right to;
See any information I hold about them and correct it if it is wrong.
Request their data is deleted
Request their data is not used for certain purposes
What data do I need to hold?
For clients requesting a telephone or online consultation;
I will hold your name, email address and contact number. If after your consultation you do not wish to book an appointment, your information will be deleted.
For clients registering on my online system;
I will hold your name, email address and contact number. The online booking system will allow you book appointments online.
For clients who have booked an appointment;
I will hold contact details including your name, address, contact number, email address and emergency contact.
I will do an in-depth initial assessment of all clients to establish where and what
could be contributing towards their pain/problem. This will allow me to decide what Bowen procedures to carry out.
I will document what procedures I have done and any advice I may give.
I will repeat my assessment at follow up visits to identify if there has been any
I will keep a copy of invoices for tax purposes.
Where will my data be stored?
Your data will be stored on an online software system called Power Diary that fully complies with GDPR Law https://www.powerdiary.com/uk/general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/
Why I keep this data?
This is required by my professional liability insurance which advises that I should keep this data for 7 years. After that period it will be destroyed.
I also keep your data to email clients of updates, special offers or changes to service. If you do not wish to be contacted in this way then please let me know.
What if you want to make a complaint?
If you think that your data has been or that or that the organisation holding it has not kept it secure you should contact them and tell them. If you are unhappy with their response or if you need any advice you should contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

In order to better serve all my clients, I have a cancellation policy in place. This is to ensure that my business and personal expenses are not affected by last-minute cancellations or no-shows. With this in mind, please read the policy below and take care to ensure I never have reason to enforce it with you.

Your appointment time has been set aside for you, and you may cancel or reschedule this appointment without penalty any time up to 24hr before the start of your appointment. This allows other clients the chance to book in for your cancelled appointment time, and for me to plan my time accordingly. You may cancel or re-schedule your appointment by ringing or texting me on 07557977518.
If you give less than 24hr notice of cancellation, you will be charged the full amount of your cancelled appointment, Unless you have developed sudden signs of being unwell or Covid 19 symptoms.
If you are being charged a cancellation fee, you will be sent an invoice with payment instructions. No further appointments can be booked until the cancellation fee has been paid. If you have pre-paid online for your cancelled appointment, including using a Gift Certificate as payment, your pre-payment will be forfeited.
